02Leadership assessment

Find out which leader you are in about two minutes.

Two minutes

Which one is yours?

Nine questions. It names your instinct, tells you who on your team is paying for it, and shows you the blind spot nobody at your table is built to see.

03The methodology

Every leader runs on one of six instincts.

The strength is obvious. The cost is not, and it always lands on someone specific on your team. Each instinct is drawn from an animal Linal has photographed in the wild, and each one is a result in the assessment above.

Gorilla illustration01

Gorilla

The StabilizerAbsorbs the weight so the team doesn’t have to.The person you exhaust is the one who’d grow if you let them struggle.
Read the full instinct

A silverback carries the weight of the group without announcing that he is carrying it. Nothing moves until he has absorbed the risk first. In your organization this is the leader everyone leans on, the one who quietly takes the hardest account, the worst quarter, the conversation nobody else will have. The cost is that the people around them never build the muscle, because you keep lifting it for them.

Leopard illustration02

Leopard

The OperatorMoves first, explains after. The person you exhaust needs the why before they can commit.
Read the full instinct

A leopard commits before the herd knows it has been chosen. Speed is the whole advantage and explaining would cost it. In the boardroom this is the leader who has already decided by the time the meeting starts. It works until the person who needed the reasoning goes quiet, and quiet gets read as agreement.

Spotted hyena illustration03

Hyena

The SurvivorSharpest when things break, restless when they don’t.The person you exhaust just found a rhythm.
Read the full instinct

Hyenas are at their best in the chaos other animals run from. Give them a stable season and they get restless and start making one. This is the leader who is brilliant in the crisis and hard to be around in the calm. The team that finally found a rhythm is the team paying for it.

Fish eagle illustration04

Eagle

The VisionaryHolds the horizon steady. The person you exhaust is running into what you can’t see from up there.
Read the full instinct

An eagle sees the whole valley and none of the ground. Altitude is the gift and the blind spot in the same movement. This is the leader who can tell you where the company will be in three years and cannot tell you what broke on Tuesday. Someone below is running into it.

Cape buffalo illustration05

Buffalo

The DefenderHolds the line around his people. The person you exhaust is still paying for a mistake you never named.
Read the full instinct

A cape buffalo turns and faces what is hunting his herd rather than running with it. Loyalty here is not a value on a wall, it is a posture. This is the leader who shields the team from above and who also keeps the ledger. The person still paying for a mistake you never said out loud is the cost.

Elephant illustration06

Elephant

The StrategistDevelops patiently and stays close. The person you exhaust is ready and still feels you hovering.
Read the full instinct

The wisest elephant matriarch does not network her way to the front of the herd. She is followed because she remembers where the water was in a drought forty years ago. This is the patient developer, close in and unhurried. The cost is the person who is already ready and still feels you hovering.

So what has all this actually done for other organizations?

Two named engagements, measured the way the client measured them.

I want to personally thank Linal Harris for his exceptional work facilitating my staff’s retreat. Our team left empowered, inspired, and equipped to build a stronger culture and climate across our organization. I came to Linal as CEO, wanting to sharpen our organizational culture. He didn’t just exceed that goal. He inspired my staff to take ownership and spearhead the work themselves. I highly recommend Linal to any organization looking to cultivate a thriving culture and climate within their business.

Sound familiar?

The moments leaders call us.

Proven results, guided by our proprietary 4-step process. If you see your organization in one of these, that is usually the start of the conversation.

01

Leadership gaps are showing up in the business results.

02

Succession risk: your high performers are not visible, ready, or retained.

03

Change is happening fast, and leadership capacity is the bottleneck.

04

Turnover is telling the truth leadership does not want to hear.

05

AI, digital disruption, or generational shifts are challenging how your leaders lead.

06

You want us to come in and run a Nature’s Leadership Code animal archetype team assessment.

08Who does the work

A practice, not a person.

Linal is the CEO and he is in the work, but he is not the whole of it. Engagements are staffed from a bench of credentialed coaches, every one of them holding an ICF PCC or above. The Chipotle program above ran with eight coaches. He was one of them.

Our coaches are also facilitators and trainers.

That combination is the whole difference. Most firms hand you a credentialed coach who has never held a room, or a trainer who has never carried a leader through a hard quarter. Ours have done both, for years. It is why the work from the front of the room and the work one to one both land differently here than they will anywhere else you look.

Every coach, PCC or above

Not a network of subcontractors. A bench that meets one credential floor.

Staffed to the engagement

Cohort work, executive forums and multi-region programs are matched to coaches with the right sector and seniority fit.

One methodology underneath

Nature’s Leadership Code and the Four Pillars are how everyone works, so the experience holds whoever is in the room.

Not an open calendar. Tell us what you are working on and we come back within two business days. Every request is read by a person before anything is scheduled.

Vetted before booking, so the conversation is worth both people’s time.

Focused Advisory

$600
30 minutes

One question, one decision, one blocker. For leaders who already know what they need to think through and want it sharpened rather than explored.

Strategic Advisory

$1,200
60 minutes

The full hour. Room to work the problem, name the instinct driving it, and leave with a decision rather than a list.

Half-Day Strategy Session

$5,000
Four hours, plus preparation

A scoped engagement, not four hours of calendar. Includes pre-session discovery and co-creation, and ends with a deliverable you take into the room with your team.

Before you reach out

Two things worth knowing before you reach out. This is a commitment of your time, not just your budget, because nothing changes in a leader without it. And no ongoing coaching engagement here runs under five figures.

★★★★★Nature’s Raw Leadership Code: A Future-Defining Guide for Adaptive Leaders
Reading Nature’s Leadership Code felt like an extension of that same experience: immersive, strategic, and grounded in real-world leadership principles rather than abstract theory. Linal is a future-defining thought leader whose insights are not just timely, but built to endure. One of the most powerful takeaways is Linal’s core truth that we must always move forward, and the target is always moving. The book challenges leaders to follow opportunity, not familiarity, and to never let yesterday’s wins dictate today’s strategy. Linal stands among the most impactful and visionary leadership voices of this century.

★★★★★A Must-Read for Leaders Who Want Real Insight—Fast
As a business owner, I’m very intentional about what leadership books I invest in, and Nature’s Leadership Code was absolutely worth it. The leadership assessment alone makes this book a standout. Being able to identify my leadership style immediately helped me see my strengths more clearly, and where I need to grow. What really sets this book apart are the QR codes tied to the case studies. They bring the concepts to life and made it easy to apply the lessons to my own business and team. This isn’t theory, it’s practical, actionable leadership.

★★★★★A Must Read for Leaders
Harris masterfully demonstrates that leadership is not a one-size-fits-all endeavor by drawing powerful lessons from the innate strengths of animals in the wild. The book compellingly connects instinctive authority in nature to practical human leadership across diverse situations. This is far more than an engaging read, it is a vital resource for effective leadership. A definitive five-star read.

★★★★★This is a leadership book you can immediately turn into real workplace conversations
What makes this book unique is how it draws insights from the natural world, gorillas, eagles, elephants, leopards and hyenas, to illustrate how authority, visibility and influence are established. The animal analogies are memorable, but more importantly, they translate cleanly into real workplace behaviors. I used it as the foundation for a ninety-minute leadership keynote session at my company. The themes made it easy to structure meaningful conversations around questions like: why do talented people sometimes get passed over, how can professionals build visibility without feeling self-promotional, what behaviors signal leadership readiness. It’s not just a fascinating book to read, it’s one you can actively use to develop people.

★★★★★Unlock Your Instinctive Leadership Authority
Nature’s Leadership Code by Linal Harris offers a refreshing and deeply insightful perspective on leadership, one rooted in instinct, awareness, and lessons drawn from the wild. The book outlines 24 leadership lessons learned through his travels, each one encouraging leaders to release behaviors that no longer serve them and reconnect with the instincts that do. What stood out most to me was how practical and thought-provoking the lessons are. This isn’t theory for theory’s sake, but guidance any leader can apply.

This book was very thoughtfully curated. Plenty of content, bold visuals, and just enough to get your day going on a powerful note. The book is perfect for senior leaders all the way to entrepreneurs honing their craft around their personal brands. There is something here for everyone. The intro quiz to learn your animal archetype makes the read even more engaging. The author out did himself with this one.

★★★★★A Very Useful Leadership Tool
As a long time owner and Director of my company, I wish Linal had written this years ago as it would have benefited both me and my employees. Very insightful messages that are short, sweet, and on point. I also like that they are not one size fits all, as Mr Harris realizes there are multiple leadership styles. As a bonus, great photography in the book makes a business book an enjoyable read. I’ll be gifting this to other leaders in my organization, trusting they will benefit and enjoy as much as I did.
